Code of Conduct

Player Policy

“The objective of the club is to promote and encourage sportsmanship, teamwork and character.”

Every player registered with a team has a part to play in that team. Obviously, some players are less gifted than others, but this should not jeopardise their opportunity in the team.

Each junior player should have an equal opportunity to appear in the Club's colours, and no player should be discriminated against, based on playing ability or any other reason.

At semi-final stage and onwards coaches have total discretion on the use of substitutes.

The use of players from other Strathfield FC teams, at the expense of players in the original team, is not allowed by this club.

The use of players from other Strathfield FC teams will only be allowed when teams are short of the required number of players, and the other team’s strength is not affected.

Coaches Responsibilities

• Make up a roster for all substitutes.

• Ensure that all substitutes are recorded on the team sheets.

• Ensure that your actions and language are in keeping with the codes of conduct for soccer, will is how the referee will adjudicate.

• Concentrate training on good sportsmanship and ball skills.

• Ensure that players under you control are not left unattended. This point can be pressured by the late arrival of parents at a darkened training ground. Make them aware of their lateness.

• Ensure that the match and training balls are properly inflated and protected from moisture damage.

• Appoint a substitute coach when necessary, giving plenty of notice to manager and players.

• To maintain the club's standards of safety and appearance, ensure that players take the field with shin pads; with shirts tucked into Strathfield green shorts and Strathfield socks pulled up covering the shin pads.
